Few weeks ago I went to my old school, STAR to attend its 50 years celebration. Nothing much can be shared with you since I'm not engaged in all of the activities held...not trying to be passive but I think being an observer should be enough for me to escape from the burden in the faculty...heheh!! V for Vegetarian [part 1]

Yo…wassup!! Did you know anything about blood type diet?meaning that you taking certain types of food that is suitable to your blood type…wahh!!canggih tuh…pelik kan?
There is one popular book on diet entitled ‘Eat Right for Your Type’ by Dr D’Adamo…quite interesting jugaklaa his explanation about the relations of the blood type to the types of food we take…evidence based medicine tuh…ade scientific proof lagik…termakan jugaklaa dakyah2 die tuh…

Mine is type A+…means V.E.G.E.T.A.R.I.A.N!!!!!!!!!!!!Noooooo!!It can’t be like that….am I born to be vege??wah…this is unacceptable…here are some of the discoveries…check it out!!

“Type A flourishes on vegetarian diets. When you get on the Type A Diet, you will naturally be thinner”
= bole caye ke nih? Naturally be thinner? WoW!!

“When Type As eat meat, they experience sluggishness. Type As have low stomach-acid content, therefore they have a hard time digesting meat. Since Type As eat very little animal protein, nuts and seeds supply an important protein component”
= a’ah…btol laa…mmg btol pon rase camtuh…patutlaa!!

“Vegetables are vital to the Type A Diet, providing minerals, enzymes and antioxidants”
“Tofu should be a staple in the Type A Diet”

= ok la…since I also like tofu fah…cheap also maa…RM1!!

“Type As are predisposed to heart disease, cancer, and diabetes”
= damn!!dahlaa tak bole makan daging…senang pulak nak dapat mende alah nih…takkan nak jadik kambing ngan lembu kot…meragut jek!!

In conclusion…after analyzing the above statements…I decided to abandon the advise…hahahah!!! Even though this way of dieting is not clinically proven but it helps those who were already failed with the other way…it is worth trying rather than keep on ballooning like me…hahah!!!

Kenape Saye Musti Kurus

Ohoi!! Long time no see…quite a long time tak tulis blog…bukan takde idea…tapi takde mase…cerite mmg banyak nak bagitau tapi mmg takde mase…baru abis posting primary care & palliative care medicine dgn population health & preventive medicine…banyak field works..tuh yg balik bilik terus tido baik punye sampai pagi…

So much for that…Happy Ramadhan to all…a month that all Muslims are waiting for various reasons…org berumur nak banyakkan amal ibadat…yang mude2 nak kuruskan badan kononnye…termasuklaa aku nih yg mmg dah berjaya mencapai tahap obesiti…ughh!! Walaupon lambat wish..takpelaa…selamat tinggal puasa sekali…hohoho!!!

This month is the most suitable and rightful time to trim off most of the unwanted fat…ey…fat pon ade gune jugak tau…kena laa simpan sket..bak menteri besar melaka cakap kene ade kuota…babi kat linggi pon ade kuota..begitu juga dgn lemak di badan kite nih!!

1. Convocation Day
Wahh…lagik 6 bulan nak final exam..pastu kalo pass dah bole berangan nak konvo…member2 lain sume dah merase…and for sure I want to look hensem and slim during that day…kalo tak jubah konvo tak muat maa…perut besau!!so…this is the main reason why I should be slim…it’s for convo dude!!

2. Plantar Fasciitis
Yada yada…seperti yg diketahui…since early this year I’m started to have pain on the heels…most severe on the right one…spot diagnosis la brader…plantar fasciitis = inflammation of the plantar fascia…suit btol laa…muda remaja dah dapat…obesity punye pasal laa…until the stage I’ve got pain also at the tendon behind the heels…lagik satu spot diagnosis…Achilles peritendinitis…kalo pegi ward round pagi2…mmg hell gile ahh..rase nak tercabut kaki…tapi sekarang dah ok sket laa…pakai comfort shoes ngan kurangkan makanan..ewah!!

3. Kacak Bergaya
I noticed huh…since I got fatter…no girls wanted to flirt with me laa…hahahah!!mcmlaa mase kurus dulu ade…awek pond ah bising2 apehal makin gemuk…senang hati sgt ke belajar medicine sampai makan banyak…huhu!!kalo ade pon awek keling mane ntah dok usha…kamon laa…bollywood aku layan kareena kapoor dan seangkatan dengannye…hahahha!!

4. INTERHEART Study
You know about this? Em…simply speaking it is the study that has been conducted all over the world in 52 countries involving more than 200,000 people…they concluded that whatever you are, wherever you live…all of us share 9 common risk factors for coronary heart diseases…and one of the 9 is abdominal obesity…fuhh!!future doc pon nak dapat CHD kaa??ini tak bole jadik..penat2 belaja…mati awal…cehh!!

5. DLL
Ape lagik sebab ehh? Can you tell me…other than above laa..banyak lagik tapi tak significant kot…lantaklaa

Since masuk medicine…adelaa gained dlm 20kg…5kg per year…not bad jugak laa…target sekarang nak kurangkan 10kg jek…nampak sket…tapi susah woo…kalo diet senang jek nak turun 3 4kg..tapi bile makan lebih sket jek…senang btol naik…rase cam tak berbaloi pulak diet sebelum nih…aiii!!

Warisan Cemerlang, Gemilang, Terbilang

Taken from Bulletin; Article Review by Afif Bahardin: UiTM, MOHE vs KekKWa, MOH

Autumn on My Head

Can you see any abnormality in this picture?

Well well...it's come again when I'm not in a good mood...thinking about what I've gained and lost after almost 5 years in this hell of medicine...in summary there were not much improvements... kalo nak pikir mende yg meningkat naik atau bertambah adalah seperti berikut:-
  1. Stress
  2. Tanggungjawab
  3. Topik2 yg perlu dibaca, dipahami, diingati
  4. Berat badan [most prominent!!]
  5. Lain2 yg berkaitan

So..ape yg turun, susut atau gugur?tak berape nak banyak sgt...adelah sikit2

  1. Tidur [konon studylaa...]
  2. Rambut!!

Cakap pasal rambut nih...tak tau nak cakapla sebenarnye...2 3 menjak nih baru perasan macam ade yg tak kena...rase mcm normal jek...tapi bile pagi2 sikat rambut tuh...mmg jelas dan nyata perubahannya...ingat sementare tapi makin lame makin menggila..heh!!but I'm still consider it to be a normal phenomenon cause the loss area is typical of temporal recession of a man...hahah!!

Yang tak tahannye, dah kurang kat atas...yg bwah pulak banyak...opps!!bukan yg bawah tuh... atas sikit dari yg kat bawah tuh...heheh!!ape2 jekla...aku tgh bengung nih nak exam..besela!!nak tgk Mlaysia kalah bola lagik nih..tak tau sempat bace ke tak...wah!!

Forever Loser

A Tribute to Malaysia National Football Team

Once upon a time...

A Tribute to Malaysia National Football Team
A force in Asian football in the late 1970s, Malaysia have suffered a sharp drop-off in recent years and enter the 2007 AFC Asian Cup as the lowest-ranked of the 16 teams.
One of the earliest bastions of football in Asia, Malaysia played an integral role in the development of the sport in the continent as a founder member of the Asian Football Confederation in 1954 and their national team have been involved in every edition of the Asian Cup since 1956.
And for a time in the 1970s, the country’s national team were a genuine power on the continent, reaching the final round of the Asian Cup in 1976 and 1980 and also qualifying for the Olympic Games in 1972 and 1980.
Having topped a qualification group that included Korea Republic in 1976, Malaysia made their first Asian Cup appearance in Iran in a three-team group that also featured Kuwait and China, only to fall at the first hurdle.
The South East Asian side would be frustrated once again four years later when they narrowly failed to make the semi-final cut in Kuwait City, when a draw with Qatar saw eventual winners Kuwait progress to the last four instead.
The 1980 tournament would prove the high watermark for the Malaysian national team, as they failed to qualify for the next six Asian Cups, narrowly missing out on the 1996 finals after finishing runners-up to Indonesia in their qualification group.
In the 2004 qualifiers, they put themselves into a good position to reach the finals in China with draws against Iraq and Bahrain in the first round of matches in Kuala Lumpur.
But they lost all three of their return matches in Manama with an embarrassing 2-1 defeat to Myanmar putting paid to their qualification hopes once again as Malaysia’s disappointing record in continental competition continued.

Malaysia’s ranking reached an all-time low of 33rd in Asia and 157th in the world in January but they gave fans something to cheer that same month when they reached the semi-finals of the Asean Football Championship despite a 1-0 defeat to Thailand in the group stage.
The four-time SEA Games gold-medallists were within sight of their first appearance in the Asean final since 1996 when Eddy Helmi Manan gave them a 2-1 aggregate lead against Singapore in the second leg of their semi-final.
However, Ridhuan Muhammad’s equaliser 16 minutes from time forced the match into extra time and a penalty shootout, which was won by the island republic side after Khyril Muhymeen missed Malaysia’s final attempt.
Despite that near miss, Malaysian fans are far from optimistic about the prospects of Norizan Bakar’s side at the Asian Cup and progress to the knockout stage from a group that includes Iran, China and Uzbekistan does indeed appear unlikely for the co-hosts and one-time powers of Asian football.
Coach Profile
Norizan Bakar
DoB: 27/01/1961
Nationality: Malaysian
Appointed: Sept 2005
When former Hungarian international Bertalan Bicskei was removed as head coach of Malaysia just before the South East Asian Games in 2005, the FA of Malaysia turned to then Penang coach Norizan Bakar.
Norizan was an assistant to both Abdul Rahman Ibrahim and Allan Harris from 1999 to 2003 before leaving to take charge of Perlis in 2003. He had a successful time with the Northern Lions, guiding them to an FA Cup final in 2003 before winning the coveted Malaysia Cup in 2004.
Seeking a fresh challenge, he took charge at Penang the next season but the islanders struggled, escaping relegation by virtue of goal difference. Rubbing salt into the wound, Perlis ran away with the league title with Pahang 10 points behind in second place.
The former Perlis forward was given only two months to whip the Malaysia team into shape for the 2005 SEA Games and managed to guide the team to a bronze medal finish in the Philippines. That was enough to convince the FAM to stop looking for a foreign coach and allow Norizan to continue with the team.
A poor showing at the invitational Merdeka Tournament in the build up to the Asean Football Championship had the critics baying for his blood but the FAM kept faith in Norizan. He came close to taking the team to their first Asean football final since 1996, losing on penalties to neighbours Singapore in the semi-final.
With Malaysia in what Norizan had quickly termed the group of death for the Asian Cup with Iran, China and Uzbekistan for company, not many Malaysian fans will expect much from the 48-year-old at possibly the biggest tournament of his career.
