It's me...

This ia a 23 year-old malay gentleman presented with 4 years' history of progressive weight gain and abnormally increased appetite. He lives a sedentary lifestyle with uncontrolled high saturated fat intake. On further questioning, he admitted that he was under a lot of stress and personal problems. On examination, he looked depressed, not interested with surrounding, and dressed inappropriately. Long-term and short-term memories were found to be impaired. BMI measurement was 41. A diagnosis of chronic, progressive morbid obesity secondary to atypical chronic depression has been made. All the conservative and medical treatment as well as psychotherapy have failed to treat his problems. Currently he is on palliative management and was subjected to "cold-turkey method" for the reversal of obesity as well as the depressive problems.
